oregon coast!!

after 4 days in mt. hood, we drove over to seaside, oregon and spent 2 days on the coast.

it was so beautiful.  the first day we went on a hike to a beach in ecola state park. 

i love how the clouds hang so low in the sky and the rocks jut out.

on our second day, we drove to a beach and spent the day playing
and exploring the coastline.  it was foggy at first but eventually the
sun came out.

this was a little fresh water waterfall that flowed from a stream above into
the ocean.

ned and i went on a walk along the beach and ended up walking for a VERY
long time.  but it was worth it because we found some starfish.

we finally found some starfish.  they aren't as plentiful as the ones we found
on the olympic peninusla!

ned took the kids on another long walk the opposite direction he and i went
and i spent that time reading my book! so relaxing and fun!

finally the sun came out!

i love love love the oregon coast and mountains!! it is such a beautiful place.

we had a really nice time as a family before coming back to the start of school!!
