more in the hood

the second day at mt. hood, we went on a 7 1/2 mile hike to ramona falls.  issy and william
did a great job!  they got a little tired at different times, but looking for huckleberries and crossing
rivers, not to mention seeing the beautiful falls made the hike manageable.  we walked along the sandy river.
pretty much full of mud, i think this may be why it is called sandy river.
they had recently had some flash flooding in the area, so that may also be why
there was a lot of mud.

always on the look out for huckleberries.

mt. hood in the distance.

because the river was washed out, we had to come up with a way to cross.

this the little cabin we rented for a few days. surrounded by the forest and

another day we went to 2 different lakes.  they were beautiful at the base of mt. hood.
