our 2nd day in va. we spend in dc. our other cute cousin mauricio, joined us in dc for the week visiting the sites. our first day we spent visiting the holocaust museum and all the monuments. i will admit i enjoyed myself a lot on this trip. travelling with teenagers is definitely easier than with little people. we covered a lot of ground with very few grumblings!!

emma and i loved the star spangled banner in the museum.
we covered a lot of ground this first day and were completely wiped!! but this didn't deter the kids. they spent a late night watching a movie and playing games. in fact, every night they stayed up late chatting, playing games, just enjoying being together!!! they really had such a great time together!
