2nd Cervical Exam

I just returned from my dr. appt today. I was really excited to go because yesterday I was having contractions most of the day. I used the opportunity to do LOTS of breathing and acupressure(Thanks Tera and Angie for the idea, it really worked to keep me contracting) during the day. They were never to the point of stopping me dead in my tracks, but it was the most activity I had had in 2 weeks, so I was excited. I even went on a midnight speed walk and they really sped up for awhile. But by 3 am everything stopped. I was bummed, but also excited because it means that my body is getting closer to delivering. My appt. didn't go as fantastically as I wanted but I did dialate to about a 3. I am still only about 50% effaced and the baby is about -1 station. SOOO, not exactly what I was hoping, but she said my cervix is pretty soft, so I guess I will take what I can get. Keep sending happy birthing thoughts my way, I need it!!
