growing up

kisses, from my now 5 year old baby, are becoming more and more difficult to capture.  while william will indulge me now and again, i long for more kisses and cuddles from my little baby.  as if starting kindergarten wasn't enough to show this old mom that her "baby" is a thing of the past, then maybe a new hair cut might!

william continues to amaze me every day.  he is so bright and talented.  he is excelling in school and has not once been reprimanded.  in fact, he has received a sticker everyday for positive behavior since school began.  he is also proving to himself that he can do "HARD" things.  

he has never loved to write or draw, but writing is becoming easier with daily practice. 

 he is often happy to do homework with me, which includes: reading, writing and math.  

william is also loving soccer this fall. i LOVE to watch my little BIG guy out on the field.  he has scored 2 goals so far this season.  i was anxious how he would respond to working as a team, but he has pleasantly surprised this skeptic mama.  he is genuinely excited when his other teammates make a goal and will even say "way to go!"  he has even said things such as, "pass me the ball, or go to the center, " so he can make a pass. he is going to be my little athlete.  today we were looking for some pants and he turned down all options for jeans, khakis or pants with belts.  he only wants to wear 

"athletic" pants, as he calls them.
