william seemed to be struggling a bit with learning the sounds of the letters in the alphabet. we would work on them but it just wasn't clicking. however, in conjunction with preschool and doing activities at home, he started to improve and the sounds became more and more familiar. during the month of january, william decided he wanted to learn to read. so i dusted off my SAM books, which emma and hunter learned to read with, and with daily practice william has made great progress. william asks to read everyday and as an incentive(which he doesn't really need anymore) he receives 15 min. of computer time. he has been our earliest reader so far!! we are proud parents! granted he is just learning simple words, but it is so rewarding to see him not only reading, but LOVING it too!!
now if we could only conquer the handwriting!! luckily i have a few ideas up my sleeves!!
