halloween poetry

i love teaching issy.  she is maturing so much this year as
far as getting her work done independently.

she comes to me often with ideas of things she wants to learn.
this past month she wanted to focus more on poetry in her writing.

since it was the month of halloween, we did poetry around this idea.
this is an adverb poem ghost.
some of her other poetry include:

a pumpkin mosaic with a couplet:
Pumpkin, Pumpkin not so bright,
called a bumpkin on Halloween night.

a freestyle poem:
The Witch's Brew
The witch puts
snail goo,
melted down shoe,
pot of blue fairy goo,
snakes goo,
black eew,
atackack, blood ood,
and salt in her pot.

a halloween acrostic:
Have you ever seen the Hallow tree who
Always seems to see you? It
Lies in the dark waiting to grab you with its branches.
Long black trunk scares you to the bone,
Often while you shiver in fright at the sight of the Hallow tree.
Witches are scared of it too.
"Eerie times you say?"
End the tree by cutting it down,
Now take it down for me!!

Happy Halloween from a

hunter and emma spent halloween evening at the temple.  when emma came home, she quickly changed into her "BRAVE" costume and hit the streets with a friend to try and get a little bit of candy.  fun night!
