some quick cute things of late, while i was playing organ prelude on sunday, william came up to me and said, "don't give up mom!" i thought it was sweet. i wasn't quite sure what he was referring too, but i took it as encouragement to do well in my organ playing.
hunter and i celebrated our birthdays this month. the night before my birthday i went out to dinner with some
hunter was lucky enough to celebrate his birthday twice!! on his official birthday day we went as a family frisbee golfing. it was a blast!! i must say i wasn't too shabby!! the girls didn't LOVE it, but they kept trying. they would mostly become discouraged because they couldn't throw as far as we could. but they had fun anyhow. after that we went on a nature walk by the river and then we went out for dinner. hunter loves mountain biking so we got him a new bike for his birthday. he and ned have been going on lots of bike rides up on the bumps(we don't have mountains here) around where we live. since we ALL can ride 2 wheeled bikes now, it is fun to go on family bike rides together. william gets a little tired so we can't go too far, but i look forward to many family bike rides this summer.
some throws.
ned giving emma some tips.
this past weekend hunter had a party with friends. we rented the rock wall at the court club and did some rock climbing. it was a total blast!! everyone had so much fun!! it was a great family activity that even william and issy enjoyed. issy i think loved it the most. which is funny since she is my little scaredy pants!! she climbed the wall more than anyone!! afterward, we went to a park and had a windy picnic and played frisbee and avatar. it was a great time!!!
this month i had my first piano recital for my 5 students. it was a huge success. the kids did fabulous. they had most of their songs memorized and worked hard to perform well. i was very proud of them. i started teaching piano lessons this year, so this is a new adventure for me. so far i am thoroughly enjoying it!!! my students are great!! two of the 5 are my own(issy and hunter) and i will say it is much easier to teach the other students for sure!!! but issy and hunter are just as awesome!! hunter has started learning the organ a little bit. he isn't ready to play publicly yet, but hopefully sometime this year.
