we headed up to the base of mt. rainier one day and spent a few hours doing some small hikes and checking out the visitors center.
because of the late summer and heavy snowfall,
there was still some evidence of winter around to play in.
the sights along the path were breathtaking and i tried to soak it all up!!
i love being out in nature!

i was impressed how well william did on all the hikes.
we carried him once in awhile, but for the most part
he did all his own walking!!
the girls chilling at the campground before we packed up and headed up to seattle for a few days. we stayed by the ohanepecosh river, which was extremely clear and deceptive. unfortunately it was too cold to swim in, but it worked great for washing up!!
