christmas fun with grandma

we had such a fun christmas break.  not only because we were able to put away our school books and i could put away some of my stress, but my mom and my nephew walker and his wife jenn and their little cutie pie atticus came to spend the holiday with us!!  so many red-heads!! it was insane!!!  we had a lot of fun together staying up late playing games, talking, making gingerbread houses, going to the movies, ice skating, going to a live nativity, attending church together, opening presents, indoor gym, skyping with family, going to the park, celebrating a birthday, cooking, eating, getting pedicures, entertaining, etc.  it was so much fun!! i am so glad they could all come and share christmas with us.

we took grandma down to columbia river to take a few pictures and play at the park.  

we also went ice skating one afternoon while everyone was here.  young and younger enjoyed the ice.

 grandma continued another tradition of gingerbread house making.  it was our first year to be able to do it with grandma!! all the houses were homemade, no pre-packaged houses here!

we took grandma out for pedicures.  this was emma's first time.  she loved it!!  we had yummy ham and asparagus crepes and chicken and broccoli crepes, vegetarian stew, salad and fruit for bday dinner!! yummy!

all of the kids chipped in and got grandma a new camera!!
after gifts and dinner we had homemade layered white cake with buttercream frosting and raspberries on top!

grandma gets the kids jammies each year for christmas!  here they are on christmas eve in their new jammies!

christmas morning was awesome!! we were able to skype with all 5 kids from wa. to arizona to florida to pa. it was fun to see everyone over the internet!!

disneyland here we come!! we bought the kids a trip to disneyland in january for our family gift!!


grandma bought jenn and walker a beautiful picture of the manti temple where they were married.  they were very touched by the gift!!

christmas morning!  opening gifts!

one morning while grandma took the older kids to see the adventures of tin tin, walker and i took the little boys to the gym to run around.  they had a blast running off some of their steam!!

christmas afternoon we attended sacrament meeting and then came home and cooked and ate christmas dinner and then we had  a little program. we had some piano solos and duets performed by hunter, me, emma and jenn and issy sang some christmas carols for us too!  it was a great day!
