ned and i celebrated 15 years of marriage this week. it is hard to believe! i remember when we had been married for 7 years, thinking, "yuck, marriage is the pits!" but we weathered through and 8 years later we are still together and doing better than ever. while many people celebrate their 15th year with romantic cruises or getaways to exotic locations, ned and i are just happy to get rid of the kiddos for the night and spend some "alone" time together. while our wonderful neighbors cared for our brood for the night, ned and i were able to rejuvenate our relationship a bit. it was awesome to have an uninterrupted conversation together lasting more than a minute and we were able to sleep in until 11:30, something we both had been dreaming about for months. we also enjoyed a nice dinner, breakfast in bed, a movie night and we golfed 18 holes. a perfect 1 1/2 days together. i did document the day by taking a photo before we left for dinner, however, it seems to have been lost after the kids got their grimy little hands on the camera(hmmpff)!! jk! so, i am posting an older pic of us instead(it isn't too old, just one from my birthday in may). happy anniversary babe!!
