i can't believe my crazy red headed daughter is a decade old! where did the time go? she and i were talking tonight, while on a diaper run to wal-mart, that in only 1 more decade she will be in college. so crazy! i love emma so much. she brings such spunk to our family!
she invited a new friend, paige, along for the day.
after playing at the park and eating lunch we walked over to the river and practiced skipping rocks.
emma also wanted to mark this day by getting her ear's pierced.
so after dropping the "boys" off at home, the
"girls" headed out to the mall to get emma's ear's pierced.
the first ear gets pierced and it hurt a bit so she wasn't too excited for the next one,
but she didn't cry or scream. she just didn't look too happy until...
i loved this meal...since i do not eat steak or crab legs, ned gets to do ALL the cookin!

Ashley, Sarah did the very same thing yesterday! It was funny, when Annie did it I felt very excited for her, but when Sarah had her ears pierced, I felt strangely sad and nostalgic--hardly believing that my younger daughter was 10-years-old. How fun you could take pictures all the way through. The woman at Claire's who pierced Sarah's ears requested that I do not take photos during the process. Happy Birthday Emma!
Happy Birthday Emma! Looks like a fun day.
Yes we will be around this weekend! I talked to Kendra yesterday and she mentioned you were coming. Would love to see you! :)
Awesome!!! Glad she had such a fun day :)
