some more fun before winter blows in

these photos are from about a month ago. there is a bike trail that runs through our area along the jordan river. i often take issy and william in the bike trailer for a ride along the path to the park or library. one day on our way to the park we ran into these ducks. they weren't very scared of us as we walked around by them. the kids thought it was a lot of fun.

issy taking william down the slide at the park.

the week of thanksgiving, hogle zoo was having a free day for visitors. we decided to take advantage of another beautiful, but cooler fall day and spent it at the zoo with some friends. there were some baby animals that were fun to see and william especially enjoyed the giraffe's and monkey's. william was fascinated by the huge tongue of the giraffe. now when we see pictures of a giraffe in a book, he sticks his tongue out and pretends to be chewing. it's funny.

emma loves elephants. she was excited to see the baby elephant with its mom.
it was soooo cute!

ned has his traditional winter beard going on! love it!
