august 17th, 1996 ned and i were saying our yes's to one another and beginning our life together as man and wife. i was 20 years old, he was 22. we were so young, yet i remember thinking i felt very mature for my age. now i know i was pretty stupid. however, i did have one thing going for me, i chose a great man. we complete each other..i know cheesy, but true!
we celebrated our 13th anniversary in one of my favorite places, seattle, wa. we took a few days off from packing to head over to seattle and spend some time together. unfortunately, william had a double ear infection and was cutting 3 teeth, so he was a little fussy. we left the other 3 kids with friends in moscow. even though we had a slighlty fussy baby, we still had fun shopping, eating our favorite thai food in the u-district and spending some time together.
i am not going to bore you with all the things i love about ned or about our marriage. i will just say that we have had some rough times and we have had some fabulous times. through it all, we have come to rely on each other and to forgive. i have learned a lot about being selfless and being able to say, i'm sorry.
i feel lucky to have found the right man for me and i look forward to many happy years to come!!

That's really nice Ash. Not ridiculously perfect but honestly wonderful! I love how you say it how it is & I'm glad you know how blessed and happy you are :) That is a great accomplishment these days. Very happy for you, Ned, & the whole family!!!
