SAD
winco rocks at 830 am. yep, can you believe i was actually out of the house by 815 today? ever since i had will, it is rare for me to even be out of bed by then(slight exaggeration, but sometimes not..my kids fend for themselves more and more these days). anyhow, off topic.
i have many things to do today, especially since ned is getting paid...which means, "bill paying day." so i was off to the market so as to by pass the massive amounts of kids buying beer on friday afternoon. i am in and out in 1 hr. because i was diligent to stick to the list!! as i finish loading and am about to put will in the car, a man walks right up to me and says,
man with dark glasses and a slightly uncomely appearance: hey, can i get your door for you?
me: umm..sure
man looks in my van(at issy) and says: hi there sweetheart, how are you?
me: smiles cheesely and starts to think, okay this is a freak. is he checking out my daughter or what?
man looks at will: aren't you cute?
me thinking: okay, oh my gosh, total freak!! act natural, just smile and shut the door. (btw, i let the word, "weirdo" slide under my breath and issy looks at me and says, "he's weird, why?"
man takes my cart and puts it away.
me: thanks(still smiling cheesily, but thinking oh my heck, get out of here and quick)
man: have a nice day
me: thanks, you too(thinking: whatever, are you on drugs talking to me just now?)
man gets into the passenger side of his car, which is parked in front of mine, and looks at me as i get in my car and leave.
me: it is sad that in this world today, i think someone trying to help me out and be neighborly is some sort of pshycho.
issy: yeah!
me thinking: he probably was just a nice person, you are overreacting(just then i check my rearview mirror to make sure he isn't following)
FUNNY:ISSYISM
while sitting at the stoplight issy says
"Mom, when we move can we buy a house that is pink and says 'move it baby, move it?'
where does she get this stuff??

Well, it is sad that we have to worry about even people who are trying to help us out. You just never know.
I remember feeling really bad that I didn't stop to help someone broken down on the side of the road once when I was in no hurry at all. But I was pregnant and I felt that I just couldn't risk it. Sad... I always say, better safe than sorry.
If you felt uneasy maybe you should have been uneasy. I also have had similar experiences and felt bad b/c I wanted to show a good example to Michael Anne. I found it a good chance to talk to her about the warning feelings of the Spirit. Hopefully this will help her recognize & judge correctly whenever she may be in danger.
nice perspective...i should have done that. in the future i will!! thanks jules.
