i have some goals as of late. part of me hates to admit them because then i feel like i have to own them for all the world. but part of me wants others to know, so i WILL own them.
Goal 1: walk 10,000 steps a day=4 miles
this shouldn't be hard especially if i go jogging. however, when you just don't feel like doing anything, like pms days, it is tough. however, i started this goal last week and so far haven't missed a day(woohoo)!
Goal 2: write in my journal DAILY=almost impossible
this should be soooo easy. but for some reason i only seem to write once a week. then i feel guilty about all the things i have missed all week. this is definitely a work in progress.
Goal 3: learn html=need ned around more, so this can happen
i have wanted to do this for awhile, but my wonderful super busy husband has not be very accessible. i emailed him about starting some one-on-one classes this weekend and he agreed. he said he would start with html 101 and then corrected himself and said html 50. he must have remembered how dense i am! (ps...but he still loves me, ha, so there)
Goal 4: write my grandma more and help the kids keep in touch with their grandparents=love
this sweet little lady just lost her husband last year and loves to get mail. whenever i send her a letter she calls me to "chat." i love it and then i recommit myself to writing her more. i am working on another letter that includes photos of our little family. because i don't write enough, the last photo she has is before will was born. i also want our kids to "know" their grandparents as much as they can. it is difficult since we don't live by them but hopefully by writing them regularly they can keep a connection.
i have read that writing down your goals helps you be more successful at achieving them.
lets see! feel free to ask me(the 3 people who read my blog, anyway) about these...that will help me stay on top of my game, hopefully!

Great job! I am impressed that you write in your journal once a week!!! I used to keep a daily journal but that was years ago. I actually thought about this yesterday & how I want to write my life story up to this point. Maybe I'll begin again...
I love that you are writing to your grandma. I know that mine would love letters but I am terrible at writing them. I do want my kids to know her. Luckily we live super close to our parents so the kids see them all the time. Its nice considering we lived so far away when I was a kid. There's really something to being a part of something bigger than yourself or your own little world.
Thanks for sharing. How'd you do today???
okay, so the day isn't over yet, BUT, i have done 5000 steps so far and that is about it soo far. i plan to take a jog this evening and write in my journal(which is on the computer) while i play on the internet, after the kids are in bed. i have compiled the disc of photos for grandma, just need to print, hopefully this weekend when ned is here. thanks for reading julie and asking...i am glad someone cares..you rock!
inspiring! Makes me want to make a list! I am a list person myself! The grandparent thing with the kids is very important-wish I would have done more of that before their grandpa left. Thanks for sharing!
You go girl!
You can do it! Good for you. I don't even set goals anymore, sad huh? I totally agree with the grandparents goal. It is so easy to forget about those things on a busy day, ya know?
At least you have goals! ...and more important, you even know what they are! lol
