i am not good at randomness....hmmm, well maybe in conversation I am. I tend to ramble, is that the same? Anyhow, I keep wanting to post something interesting about my life this week, but alas, i have nothing to say. i took a good hard look at where i was going this week and finally i worked up the nerve to ask out my "hopelessly addicted to me school-a-holic" husband on a date. do you want to know how i convinced him? i said, 'hey ned, i need a reason to put on make-up and clothes, other than sweats, so do you want to take me out to eat somewhere?" because he is hopelessly addicted to me, he said "Yep!"
i told him he could pick the restaurant and i would pick the activity. he chose, you guessed it...THAI food!! I chose, you guessed it...bowling! HA!! You would have never guessed huh? This decision to go bowling came from the lack of nothing else to do, so there ya go. However, the kids then said they wanted to go bowling, so i said never mind we will go bowling on sat. as a family and instead lets hit a movie. however, not a lot out there right now.
because i like anne hathaway and needed a laugh, not to mention the movie Bride Wars is PG, i figured okay. SOOOOO...totally do not waste your time on this movie. i will not even bore you with the details except to say, "it stunk like a skunk."
i guess the big news this week is that ned did complete all his work for school(he did have a paper he was finishing up so he could officially graduate and be allowed to take the bar) and is DONE!! he will no longer be in school, just studying for the Washington state bar in bellevue,wa in Feb. he is really excited to be done!!
for many wives it is a challenge to be married to a law student. while there were definite challenges, it has been such a blessing in our lives. our marriage has become stronger, our family has been blessed and our testimonies of hardwork, sacrifice, obedience and faith have grown as well. i think i have grown to love ned more these past 2 1/2 years than in all our 10 years leading up to this point. i have learned more about being unselfish and communication and just being there for your spouse. i am soo glad to have had this time here in moscow going to school. it really has been so great!! i am going to miss this little town and our great friends we have made here.
oops...sorry, that went way rambly. i told you i do that. anyhow, that's all that is going on with us right now. thanks for listening.

Ash, I'm totally impressed with your attitude about the three years you've been up here in law school! I don't think I've ever heard a law school wife say that!
Congrats to you guys, Ash! I hear that getting the first paycheck makes you cry. It's nice to think that someday we too will end our "debt accrual" stage and be able to actually start paying off those student loans.
Hey, we might come see you in Washington someday--I've been thinking it would be a great place to live. :>)
