i can tell he senses i am upset, so i decide to own my feelings and tell him that i am upset and why i am upset.
okay so he is totally trying to make-up right now, so i am feeling guilty writing this...
anyhow, i shoveled a freakin lot of snow today and every day for that matter and i was just completely po'd
hello, isn't that a guy thing? -- to shovel a HEAPIN load of snow for the wife?
there is so much snow out there that i have to work really hard to throw it to make it to the top of the pile...which leads to back and shoulder pain
then the snowplow comes by and shovels all the snow in front of my driveway...argh!! so then i have to shovel that out AGAIN.
so i shovel my driveway 3 times today and then i shovel my neighbors driveway 2 times, because i am just a nice person and what does ned have to say...NOTHING!!
not a thank you or good work or anything...not that i am fishing for great compliments about a neccessary job, but ....well I am!!
and do you know what he did? he LAUGHED and proceeded to say how he wouldn't have even bothered or i could have left it for him to do later, blah, blah, blah. not what i wanted to hear.
of course this made me more upset and i tell him he is insensitive and not greatful for all i do around here, "i don't ask for much, just a little thanks" I say.
anyhow, he is now rubbing my shoulders and saying he loves me and my anger is faltering under his love magic...so i guess i will say..."see ya tomorrow out in the snowdrifts with my shovel"

shoveling is totally a guy thing!!!! i so agree with you ash....but good luck shoveling again today!
i know...luckily it is kind of warm and melty out, so maybe shoveling won't be something i have to do today.
Oh my gosh, we must be married to brothers. LOL!!! Bryan would have responded the exact same way. Maybe the Stratton boys never figured out that shoveling snow was a guy thing. Marjean probably always did it. Did I just say that out loud?!?!?!? Anyway, I can totally relate. Hope ya'll had a good Christmas.
I love the anger and hostility -- it is really useful to energize you for all that shoveling that you will be doing! lolol

By the way, we would love it if you moved to Florida and then you wouldn't have to worry about the snow.
just think of all those calories you burned shoveling. :) that's what i like to think about, although Jeremy is the designated shoveler in our family. i'm proud of you...this last snow was much heavier because it was so wet.
The greatest thing that happened to me was a son!!!! Soon yours will be old enough and you will never have to write angry posts about snow shoveling or MOWING!!!
When we got home from our trip, we drove up to the house and spent the next two hours shoveling our driveway and trying to get INTO it! Maybe we should get together with our blowdryers and go wild on the snow in our yards...
