I am not much of a contest joiner, but with free movie tickets and HUGE bucket full of goodies in the POT, I decide, "Hey, why not?"

The SOUP--A MANS KIND OF SOUP....MEATY, HEARTY, CHUNKY, SPICY!!
I spend hours pouring over books and books of recipes to find the PERFECT MAN'S SOUP!!
JACKPOT=BARBECUE BEEF CHILI
IMPORTANT INGREDIENTS TO INCLUDE IN THE MAN'S SOUP
1. MEAT-BEEF BRISKET
2. BEANS
3. SPICES, Such as...chili powder, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, black pepper, ground mustard
4. HEARTY, SPICEY SAUCES such as...chili sauce, barbecue sauce, worceshire sauce, ketchup 5. VEGGIES..Green Peppers, Onions
WHO COULD GO WRONG WITH A SOUP LIKE THIS??????
I'LL TELL YOU WHO...ME!!!
Those missionaries picked a whimpy green zucchini soup!!
NO MEAT, NO Hearty sauces or spices, NO beans, No veggies(except strained zucchini)!!!
Come on!! Not only did whipmy zucchini soup win, but the winner was my good friend Holly. So I can't be too mad I guess. It was funny though because we were talking about picking a soup we thought the missionaries would like and she kind of was like, oh yeah, good idea to do a hearty soup like that. I wondered about that.
Well I guess not every guy out there goes for the typical MAN'S soup!!
FYI...
Next time, let the ladies judge. They all loved my soup and thought it was great. In fact, I only had one bowl full left when I got home. Holly even said she went back for 2nds on my soup!!
HA HA!! No longer a MAN'S soup...it's a WOMEN'S soup!!

That's hilarious! I'm entering a pie in our ward's Halloween pie bake-off tomorrow. I'm trying a new recipe, too. I'm not sure what I'm thinking. I usually like to test a new recipe before I subject other people to it. Keep your fingers crossed!
