the stratton clan: spring break portland

me and the kids headed over to portland again this year for spring break. there is so much to do, not to mention it is beautiful!! our really good friends the leglars, also live south of portland so it is fun to get to catch up with them.

we went on a hike just outside of portland. so pretty!
love the trees, moss and the beautiful flowers!

we also walked through some pretty gardens and arboretum.

these cuties really do like each other. when they aren't disliking each other that is!

of course the best part of the trip. staying in a hotel and swimming in the pool.

we found this yummy pizza place. it reminded us a lot of hubby's pizza in kennewick.
it was all decorated like a train.

we spent a day at the OMSI museum. the kids really enjoyed it. we had been the
year before, but hunter wasn't with us before so we mostly went so he could experience it
himself.

after the museum, we walked along the river walkway. it was a little chilly but
very pretty!

emma was in need of some clothes. so we hit a mall one evening to do a little

shopping. while we waited for her to try on clothes, issy and william had a blast

dressing up and posing. it was pretty hilarious!

one day we spent at the zoo. it was kind of chilly and we were a little worried we'd get
rained on, but as luck would have it, we made it through the zoo just in time.
it started raining 5 minutes before we left.

we really liked the portland zoo. it had some pretty scenery and the exhibits were
really nice.

william's favorite animal, the cheetah!

they had a great lion exhibit. normally we never get to see a lion at the zoo. they
are usually hiding and never too many just like one or two. this was impressive
to see so many lions and lioness as well as some cubs.
