a little downhill

we bought a season pass to bluewood this year, so we could take up
ned's favorite sport...it's been awhile since we've really
skied or boarded, since we were students and unemployed for awhile.
but, the kids are getting older and ned has really been wanting
to get them out on the slopes to learn, so we finally did it.
so far it's been going great! since we are all beginner/intermediate, except ned,
we can pretty much go together on most lifts.
hunter and william have really caught on quickly and william
has no fear....which makes me a little fearful.  he takes off as soon
as he's off the lift!  ned got a little upset this last time, because
william just sets his skis straight and flies...no turning!! so we are working on more turning
with him.
i expected a little reluctance from issy(she can be a worrier), but she
has learned quickly and seems to actually enjoy it!

perfect snowy conditions for skiing.

we spend a little time on the bunny hill and then head up the lifts for the easier runs.

such a little diva ready to go!

it was a gorgeous spring day for skiing.

ned and will on the lift.  it was pretty empty this past weekend.  super nice, no
long lines!

kids playing in the snow as we load the truck.
it is fun to have an activity we can all do together.  with the various ages, sometimes it
is difficult to find things we can do together that everyone enjoys.  since we can all
get on and off the lifts ourselves, and the kids feel confident on the hills, it makes it easier
to branch out a little bit too!
hopefully,we'll get another 2 weeks before it's too warm and not enough snow!!
spring is on its way!

What a great family activity! I've always wanted to try skiing or snowboarding...maybe when my kids are a little older:) By then they'll probably be teaching me. I love reading your blog and seeing what you and your family are up to! Your family is beautiful. Hope all is well.
