another palouse falls trip

one of our favorite day trips in this area is to visit palouse falls.
it is a dangerous trail down to the bottom of the falls so we don't do it with the kids. 

because of this, ned has wanted to canoe up to the base of the falls for awhile now.
a few weeks ago, he and hunter went with ned's business partner and his sister
on that very trip.

it was a gorgeous summer day, perfect for canoeing and kayaking.

they had a few medium rapids on the trip that were fun on the way down,
but they did have to portage through them on the way up.

the falls look beautiful this time around.  when we were there in early may
they were quite muddy.
