hunter participated in lego league this year at mcp(the partnership school we go to). the team spent the past few months building robots and programming them for competition. in addition to the robots, they also had to prepare posters, skits, oral presentations to present at the competition. they are also judged on core values at the competition(ie: cooperation). the first competition (regionals)was held in richland. their team won 1st place. this month they traveled to spokane to participate in the state competition. their robot didn't perform the best but they did win innovative solution award for their skit. this was their very first year at mcp to have a lego team. they were super excited and proud to have done so well!!
the lego league even inspired emma!! she has now signed up for lego classes and has begun building a robot and working on programming with her partner!!!
we look forward to seeing the girls in action at lego league next year!!
