we spent thanksgiving in seattle this year. we celebrated with ned's parents and a few of his siblings and their families. it was a lot of fun. we played a lot of games, the kids did lots of crafts, we ate lots of yummy food, which included not your traditional turkey, but rather smoked salmon and chicken and even tofu chocolate pie(which i loved, if you can believe it!) and we even spent a beautiful fall afternoon with my nephew walker and his awesome wife jenn and their cute little son, atticus. and to make it even better courtney(my niece) was up visiting them from byu!! it was a great visit!! i haven't seen courtney since william was 4 mo. old, so that was really awesome!
they live downtown and not far from green lake, so we took advantage of the beautiful sunny day(which was also something to be thankful for since it had been raining for 4 days straight) and walked over to the lake and spent some time outdoors playing. aren't the fall colors beautiful? when ned lived in edmonds, literally 2 exits north of where jenn and walker live, he used to come over here and roller blade. more of 90's thing to do, i think. there weren't many people rollerblading(i only saw 1) but there were plenty of people walking their dogs, babies or their coffee.
happy thanksgiving!!
