we are so close to spring. once in awhile it appears and for a day or two it seems like winter has climbed back under its covers. but, then the clouds appear, the air turns chilly once again and it is oh so very dark. spring where are you???
william is all boy. yesterday it was raining. nothing new in this city that boasts 300 days of sunshine(WHATEVA)!! i took william and issy with me to the store and as we were leaving it began pouring. at first william whined, but when he began to feel the rain on his skin he exclaimed, "i feel it on me, it is soo awesome!" awesome is william's word! it is soo cute. so as soon as we get home he wants to play in the rain. i tried to give him an umbrella but he refused. he wanted to feel the rain on his skin. he had a blast and reminded me to find joy in rainy dark days.

the rain subsided today and left a puddle in our driveway. william saw the puddle and the rocks lying on the ground beside it and he couldn't resist. it was fun to watch his facial expressions as he would through each rock into the water.
aside from anxiously wishing for spring to arrive, we have been on the prowl for a new place to live. quite unexpectedly we are being kicked out of our rental. we will be sad to go since we love our little house and yard. we are really hoping to stay in kennewick so we can finish out the school year and not have to uproot the kids again, like we did last year. so, wish us luck!!
i took a quick trip back east this past month, all alone! it was really fun! i saw all my sisters and my mom. since we live so far away from each other, these get togethers are few and far between. however, the funniest part of my trip was getting picked up by a guy on my flight out to va. i didn't talk to the guy the entire flight. right as we are landing in minnesota i comment on how cold it looks outside. HIS TRANSLATION OF WHAT I SAID WAS: "hey, so i'm totally into you, do you want to hook up later?"
when he asked for my number i politely responded: "wow, i am totally flattered, but i'm married."
i guess this 15 year married mom of 4 hasn't lost it yet!
(or the guy was totally smashed!!)
