may and 1/2 of june has been busy and fulfilling. i finally unpacked the last box, although i still don't have everything up on the walls or put in its final place. a few more weeks....
some things we have been up to in our new home:
1. celebrating my birthday and hunter's
2. hunter received the aaronic priesthood, began passing the sacrament, collecting fast offerings, attending ym and attended the temple for the first time this past week.
3. issy graduated from kindergarten and emma from 4th grade.
4. ned officially opened his law office and has had a few clients.
5. attended a bar-b-q with new friends.
6. planted a garden complete with: raspberries, blueberries, pumpkins, corn, peas, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers.
7. completed a few home improvements projects: staining a bench, painting/building bunkbeds, painting dressers and updating housewares and installing shelves.
8. talked in church on my favorite subject(the book of mormon)
9. had a garage sale...now to list more items on craigslist. i love craigslist!
10. meeting new friends and having playdates.
11. attending a fairytale play in richland, wa.
12. hiking in a natural reserve(amazingly there was more foliage than i expected in a desert)
13. attending midnight madness craft night.
14. learning to play the organ.
15. substituting in primary at church 2 weeks in a row
16. accepting callings to serve in primary and as a ward missionary
17. attending a richland temple session
18. watching the new robin hood(as usual I LOVE hottie russell crowe, but the movie was lame)
19. enjoying mother's day with my family
20. having our first visitors(ned's parents and our uncle and aunt, who live in finley,wa.)
21. mushroom picking north of yakima, wa.
22. networking business ideas with the locals
23. sending hunter on a week long scout camp
24. already making gifts for christmas(i know...crazy, huh? but i am determined to have it done EARLY)
26. preparing to homeschool a middle-schooler
27. hunter earned his first paycheck and opened his own bank account.
28. realized at the bank, my license was expired! EEK! (had to take a written and DRIVING TEST..i know, lame-O!)---this actually reduced me to tears that day...not at the test but when i realized i had to take the test again. I PASSED BTW!
29. dealing with allergies, what is up with that here??
30. swimming in the backyard pool and enjoying the sunshine
31. enjoying an UNUSUALLY long and VERY COLD spring for tri-cities(i am often told that by now it is typically 90...after hearing that, i am very glad it has been cooler).
32. finding parks and local events to enjoy.
33. battling sugar ant issues
34. organizing, organizing, organizing....
35. feeling truly blessed to be in kennewick!

Holy Cow, can you even believe Hunter is already in YM & has gone to the temple!?! That is awesome :)

Ashley- you have done soooooo many awesome things and I am so happy (wipe tear)- that you sound so happy!!!!!! (all except the driving test) Yeah and a million time Yeah!!!!!!!! Is Ned excited about his new practice? It is always fun (a little stressful and scary) to start your own practice somewhere- almost like every phone call from a potential client is like christmas day!!!!! anyway- good luck to him and so happy for you!!! lovya- Brooke
