waiting...waiting...waiting...waiting...this is pretty much all we did on sunday, dec.21. we hurried up to wait. what was to be a fairly long day of 9 hours of flying, turned into about a 19 1/2 hour day of waiting and flying. i was so happy when we finally touched down in ft. lauderdale, fl. while the day was full of many delays...most of which were sitting on a plane on the tarmack(which i totally HATE and don't quite understand) getting de-iced and waiting for clearance due to snow and icy rain, the kids did fabulous. issy had a little trouble with her ears and will only got fussy 2 times and emma only got motion sick 1 time. we didn't take a car seat for will, so my arms got quite tired holding 17lbs of baby most of the day, but all in all the long and tiring day could have been worse. we didn't lose our luggage or get stranded for days in an airport, like many of our fellow passengers and no one threw up!! although, ned and i did swear(under our breaths of course) that we would not be traveling with the kids on an airplane again any time soon(except to come home...yikes).
florida so far has been great...actually a little chilly but nothing compared to snow, ice and freezing temperatures. i am loving being with my family and having some relaxation time. the kids are busy catching up with their cousins and going swimming. tomorrow we are planning on heading to the beach!! Yeah!! i will touch in later, hope you all are enjoying the SNOW!! HEEHEEHEE!!

I love the evil Heeeeeheee at the end! :) Awh.....that sucks about your flight! Mom said you finally got into Florida at 3:30am?! Nice that you have such well behaved kids.
OK.....I can't wait to join in the fun tomorrow!! However, I think we'll be exhausted by the time we arrive...so don't mind us zombies.
So glad you made it!! Build a sand castle for me!!! By the way we got more snow while you've been gone! Live it up while you are there!!
We understand flying to Florida in the winter, we did it last year -- definitely NOT fun. We're enjoying Fort Pierce this year, aren't 70s and 80s fun this time of year!!???
