A few weeks ago, while Ned was interning in Bozeman, Montana I took a little trip out to visit him. He has been in Billings all summer, but the firm sent him to Bozeman for a week to check it out and so I decided to join him for some one on one time. It was soo great to see him and to leave the kids behind and have some R&R. I was able to sleep in , read when I want, watch movies I want, eat when I want and just hang out without doing anything for anyone. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Ned and I went out to dinner a few times and even went to a few movies. Since Bozeman is surrounded by many beautiful outdoor adventures, we definitely had to take advantage. The valley is surrounded by mountains and there are many lakes, trails, rivers, etc. to enjoy. So, we went up one of the many canyons and went on two smallish hikes(since I am huge and can barely walk) to two different waterfalls. They were beautiful hikes with rivers flowing the enitre way and lots of greenery and wildflowers. The first hike was about 2 miles and it was uphill the entire way and Ned was super sweet and went slow for me. I took advantage of our slow pace and took many pictures of the scenery. I have a few of myself, but could not bring myself to post them. So, here are some of the things we saw and some pictures of Ned. He is much more photogenic than I am right now!!

I love Montana. I served my mission there, living in both Helena and Billings. When Bryan and I lived in Seattle we would have to drive through Bozeman to get to my parents house in Wyoming. The few times we did, he always said that he would love to live there someday. He thought it was so beautiful. Bryan really misses the northwest. I'm sure he wonders often how in the heck he ended up in East Texas. Poor guy. :) How fun for ya'll to spend some time together before the baby comes.

WOW! I didn't know that was where you served your mission. Awesome! Yeah, we really love living in this area, especially because of the wonderful outdoor things to do and the moderate weather. We really did love Bozeman, it was soo beautiful and quaint! I think the heat in Texas would be difficult for me to get used to. But who knows? You do what you have to sometimes.
